Elderly man stabbed, shot, robbed

BACOLOD City – An elderly man was injured after he was shot by unidentified men at Barangay Malasibog, Escalante City, Negros Occidental Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as Sunny Comawas, 61, of Barangay Alimango.
Investigation indicated that the victim was riding a horse on his way home from the farm when the four assailants waylaid him.
He was shot several times then one of the suspects stabbed him four times.
Then the armed men allegedly carted away the victims bag containing P70,000 cash.
Comawas sustained gunshot and stab wounds and was brought to a hospital.
Police believed that the victims activities was monitored by the robbers prior to the incident.
Police have no lead yet on the identities of the perpetrators.
