Roger Pilatan, 61, of F. Palmares St., Poblacion Ilawod, was rushed to Don Valerio Palmares Sr. District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
According to reports, the assailant entered Pilatan’s house around 9 a.m. and shot him multiple times.
The gunman then fled on a black motorcycle driven by another man toward San Enrique town.
Pilatan was known to operate an ukay-ukay (used clothing) business and served as the property custodian of the Javellana family.
Master Sgt. Roderick Larida, a Passi City police investigator, said authorities have identified a person of interest in the killing.
However, he said police are still considering multiple angles and have yet to determine a clear motive.
