Elderly driver killed while repairing truck in Bago
BACOLOD CITY — A 64-year-old truck driver repairing a vehicle beside the road in Barangay Dulao, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Saturday was killed after being sideswiped by a pickup truck. Police Lt. Col. James Latayon, chief of Bago City Police Station, identified the victim as Jose, of Barangay Sum-ag here.

BACOLOD CITY — A 64-year-old truck driver repairing a vehicle beside the road in Barangay Dulao, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Saturday was killed after being sideswiped by a pickup truck.
Police Lt. Col. James Latayon, chief of Bago City Police Station, identified the victim as Jose, of Barangay Sum-ag here.
Latayon said the 68-year-old pickup truck driver alleged that he did not notice the victim at the roadside while on his way to this city.
The victim was declared dead in a hospital.
The pickup truck driver is recuperating in a hospital after feeling ill due to nervousness.
Latayon said both parties have reached an initial settlement.
