Egis Group officially opened its new office in Pasig City on March 21, 2025, reaffirming its long-term commitment to sustainable infrastructure development in the Philippines.
Located at the One San Miguel Avenue Building in Ortigas Center, the new office strengthens Egis’ engineering and operations presence in the country and supports its role as a production and skills hub for regional projects.
The inauguration was attended by top executives including Egis Group CEO Laurent Germain, Egis Asia CEO Mathieu Croll, and French Ambassador to the Philippines Marie Fontanel.
“The opening of our new office in Pasig City marks a significant milestone for Egis in the region,” said Germain.
“We are committed to leveraging our global expertise to support the Philippines in its journey toward sustainable development.”
Egis has operated in the Philippines for over 50 years, partnering with government agencies and international financial institutions in developing critical infrastructure.
With nearly 200 employees nationwide, Egis is involved in engineering, operations, and consulting for transportation, water, energy, and sustainable city solutions.
Mathieu Croll, Egis CEO for Asia, said the new Ortigas office “symbolizes our deep commitment to the Philippines and our ambition to contribute meaningfully to its infrastructure evolution.”
As part of its global water service line strategy, Egis also announced the creation of a new Production Center in the Philippines focused on water management projects.
The center will serve as a regional hub, offering innovative and sustainable solutions to address local and regional water challenges.
Thomas Bieche, Egis Philippines managing director, said the company is “eager to embark on this new chapter, focusing on innovative solutions that meet critical local and global needs while fostering economic growth and community well-being.”
Egis is currently working on several key infrastructure projects across the country.
These include the Metro Manila Subway, the Philippines’ first underground rail system aimed at easing urban congestion.
It is also supporting the IPIF Flood Risk Management Project to protect vulnerable areas and mitigate climate impacts.
Egis is involved in the Clark International Airport expansion, a major upgrade that aims to improve air travel infrastructure in Central Luzon.
The company also runs Road User Services that help commuters travel more efficiently while reducing traffic congestion and emissions.
Egis’ Philippine operations focus heavily on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts in transport and mobility sectors.
These efforts align with Egis’ broader commitment to smart, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure that addresses climate risks and promotes inclusive development.
