A 25-year-old Ebike driver identified as alias “Bado” was arrested in Jaro, Iloilo City on August 4, 2025, after authorities seized approximately 55 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation.
The operation took place at around 3:51 p.m. at Sitio Taal, Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro, where the suspect, classified as a high-value individual (HVI), was apprehended.
Recovered from the scene were more or less 55 grams of a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, buy-bust money, and a coin purse.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of PHP374,000, based on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s standard drug price index.
The anti-drug operation was spearheaded by the Special Operations Unit 6 of the Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), with support from Police Station 9 of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group – Visayas, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 6.
The suspect is currently detained at Police Station 9 of the ICPO while charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared.
