A heated online feud has erupted within former President Rodrigo Duterte’s camp after pro-Duterte vlogger Maharlika accused ex-presidential aide Jasmine “Jassy” Egan of being a “spy” and “double agent.”
The controversy, which has trended under the hashtag #TeleCeres, pits Duterte die-hards and family allies against Egan and her influential supporters.
Maharlika, who runs the popular Boldyak TV channel with more than 143 million total views, launched a multipart YouTube series questioning how Egan gained access to the Villamor Air Base holding area during a recent official event.
In her videos, Maharlika claims Egan, also known online as Jassy Egan, received compromising photos of Duterte from a protocol officer.
“It’s not just a breach of security—it’s a betrayal of the Duterte legacy,” Maharlika said in her latest episode titled “TeleCeres,” which also alleges millions of pesos in undisclosed political funding.
The title references Ceres, the transport company operated by Vallacar Transit Corp., implying a covert link between Egan and the Yanson family.
Egan is widely reported to be the wife of a Yanson heir, part of the billionaire clan behind the Y2 and Ceres bus lines.
She previously made headlines for her appearance at The Hague, where she showed support for Duterte allies, raising questions about who financed her travel and whether her actions served political ends.
Kitty Duterte, the former president’s youngest daughter, defended Egan in a statement, calling the accusations “malicious” and “baseless.”
She urged Duterte loyalists to stop speculating until an official probe is completed.
Maharlika’s videos focus on Egan’s entry into the secured air base and the alleged transfer of private images of Duterte.
The vlogger also questions the source of funds behind Egan’s overseas trips and potential political activities.
As a Yanson in-law, Egan’s ties to one of the Philippines’ largest transport firms have fueled more speculation about the alleged “TeleCeres” funding.
Boldyak TV’s episodes continue to attract thousands of views per upload, intensifying calls for transparency and accountability from both sides.
With the 2025 elections nearing, the rift underscores growing divisions in Duterte’s once-solid base and highlights the growing influence of viral social media campaigns in shaping public perception.
