BACOLOD City – A dump truck driver was killed in a road accident in Barangay Ara-al, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental Thursday.
Police identified the victim as Argie Galido, 43, of Barangay M.H. Del Pilar, Pontevedra town.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonel Guadalupe, city police chief, said Galido delivered sand in Barangay Ara-al and was on his way to the city proper when he lost control of his truck.
The victim then swerved and overshot to a farm plantation, causing him severe injuries.
Guadalupe said the victim also lost his left arm due to the impact.
He was taken to Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
