Dueñas native nabbed over rape raps filed in Antipolo City

A man from Dueñas, Iloilo was arrested afternoon of September 20, 2021 for a rape case in Antipolo City, Rizal.
Reyland Aguinaldo, 25, a resident of Barangay Capuling, Dueñas, was collared 1:25 p.m. Monday at Poblacion A, Dueñas.
Aguinaldo, who sells bread at the town’s public market, is listed as Antipolo City’s fifth most wanted person.
Members of Dueñas Police Station, in coordination with the Anti-Kidnapping Group-Visayas Field Unit and Antipolo City Police Station, collared Aguinaldo for violation of Article 266-A, Par. 1 (d) of Revised Penal Code as amended by RA 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) docketed as Criminal Case Number 18-59542.
Judge Ruth D. Cruz-Santos of the Regional Trial Court Branch 72, Antipolo City issued the arrest warrant on July 3, 2019.
Major Jose Rey Pabalan, Dueñas police chief, said the suspect was accused of raping a relative several years ago.
The girl was nine years old when the incident happened.
The suspect stayed in Antipolo to find work and was believed to have returned to Iloilo following the filing of the case.
Aguinaldo is now detained.
