The activity aims to equip MSMEs, Negosyo Center business counselors, and DTI personnel with practical knowledge and skills for the effective, safe, and ethical use of AI tools to improve business operations and office productivity.
Organized by DTI Region VI through its Business Development Division and Management Information Systems unit, the workshop will focus on demystifying AI and showcasing its real-world applications in marketing, customer service, documentation, reporting, compliance, and overall business efficiency.
Participants will be introduced to widely used and accessible AI tools, including Microsoft Office integrations, Copilot, and Google Workspace, through interactive lectures, hands-on sessions, group exercises, and plenary discussions.
The activity will also highlight responsible AI use, data privacy, and cybersecurity considerations.
Industry experts will serve as resource speakers, sharing insights and practical experiences on AI adoption among local enterprises.
A total of 60 participants, composed of MSMEs, business counselors, and DTI staff from across Western Visayas, are expected to attend.
By the end of the activity, participants are expected to produce AI-enabled templates for documentation and compliance, draft initial AI adoption plans, and strengthen collaboration between the government and the private sector.
This initiative is part of DTI Region VI’s ongoing efforts to promote digital transformation, improve organizational productivity, and help MSMEs remain competitive in an increasingly digital economy.
