The Department of Trade and Industry has launched the Integrated Registration Information System, or IRegIS, a nationwide online platform designed to make regulatory transactions faster, more accessible and more convenient for businesses.
With the system now operational, applications for sales promotion permits and service and repair enterprise registration and accreditation can now be filed entirely online, reducing the need for physical submissions and in-person visits.
In Western Visayas, DTI Region VI has set up dedicated IRegIS help desks in its provincial offices to support the rollout of the new system.
The help desks are now operating in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental.
Trained personnel are available to assist applicants with account registration, online application procedures and other system-related concerns.
The initiative aims to help businesses, particularly micro, small and medium enterprises, transition smoothly to DTI’s digital services.
Through IRegIS, businesses planning sales promotions can submit online applications for permits covering discounts, raffles, contests, redemption programs, games and premium offers.
Service and repair establishments can also apply online for new registration, renewal of accreditation, additional categories and updates to existing records under the service and repair enterprise program.
The program covers repair and service providers in sectors including motor vehicles, electronics, electrical equipment, refrigeration and air conditioning, machine shops and related fields.
The online platform allows applicants to upload documentary requirements electronically, track application status in real time, receive automated email notifications and download approved permits and certificates with QR codes for verification.
DTI said the digital process is intended to shorten processing time while promoting transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
IRegIS forms part of DTI’s broader digital transformation program to support ease of doing business and improve public service delivery.
The system integrates other DTI platforms, including NegosyoKonek for business verification and DTIPay for online payments, to provide a more streamlined and secure application process.
DTI’s Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau first launched IRegIS in 2020 for selected frontline services before expanding the platform and officially rolling it out nationwide in 2025.
The nationwide rollout supports the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, which seeks to reduce red tape and simplify government transactions.
DTI Region VI is encouraging businesses in Western Visayas to use IRegIS and to visit the nearest provincial office if assistance is needed.
Additional support is available through the IRegIS contact feature, the support email and DTI’s public IRegIS training resources.
