The Department of Trade and Industry Iloilo, through the Negosyo Center Tigbauan, held a marketing strategy training for sugarcane farmers from various towns in the province.
The training ran from June 23 to 27 at Dreamers Valley Camp and Resort in Barangay Buenavista, Tigbauan.
It was part of a weeklong program on sugarcane production technologies, postharvest practices, and marketing, organized in partnership with the Iloilo provincial government and the Provincial Agriculture Office.
The session focused on practical marketing strategies to help farmers increase the value and market reach of their products.
In addition to lectures, the training included hands-on activities that allowed participants to apply their learning in real-time scenarios.
The initiative supports DTI Iloilo’s ongoing efforts to strengthen local industries through capacity-building programs and collaboration with government partners to empower farmers and entrepreneurs.
