The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo, through the Negosyo Center Igbaras, partnered with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region VI (DSWD VI) and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Igbaras to train members of the BAGPAO SLP Association in Brgy. Bagacay, Igbaras, Iloilo on basic business management, financial literacy, and simple bookkeeping.
The training aimed to strengthen the group’s livelihood projects by focusing on core entrepreneurial skills.
Participants learned how to set goals, plan effectively, and manage resources to improve business operations.
They also discussed the importance of budgeting, saving, and managing cash flow to make sound financial decisions for both business and household needs.
The seminar included practical lessons on recording daily transactions and keeping accurate financial records, giving participants the confidence to track and evaluate their performance.
By combining theory with hands-on exercises, the training empowered the group to sustain and grow their income-generating projects.
The initiative reflects DTI Iloilo’s commitment to supporting grassroots entrepreneurship and local economic development.
