The Department of Trade and Industry Iloilo, through its Negosyo Center program, held its midyear assessment at the Iloilo Grand Hotel to evaluate accomplishments, share best practices, and showcase innovations implemented by Negosyo Centers in the province during the first half of 2025.
Business counselors from all municipalities across Iloilo’s congressional districts highlighted their breakthrough goals in micro, small and medium enterprise development, emphasizing strong collaboration with local government units to deliver responsive and impactful services to their communities.
In her opening message, DTI Iloilo Provincial Director Ma. Dinda R. Tamayo acknowledged the valuable contributions of the business counselors, citing their commitment to advancing the agency’s goals in consumer protection, business development, and industry support.
To further strengthen service delivery, a capacity development training on critical thinking and presentation skills was also conducted, with Ken Lerona as the resource speaker.
The session aimed to enhance the counselors’ communication and analytical competencies to better serve MSME clients.
The activity reinforced DTI Iloilo’s commitment to improving the reach and quality of services through empowered Negosyo Centers.
