The initiative aims to raise awareness of DTI’s programs and empower local communities by providing direct access to services that support micro, small and medium enterprise growth.
DTI Iloilo Provincial Director Ma. Dinda R. Tamayo said inclusive development begins in the barangays.
She stressed the importance of reaching rural areas to ensure even the smallest or most remote entrepreneurs have the opportunity to succeed.
Tamayo urged the community to help revive traditional industries and strengthen local businesses with support from DTI and partner agencies.
The event opened with a welcome message from Barangay Chairman Hon. Francisco A. Estrologo and concluded with remarks from the LGU Igbaras BPLO/LEDIPO designate, representing Mayor Vicente E. Escorpion Jr.

The LGU official voiced full support for DTI’s initiatives and pledged continued collaboration to boost local economic activity.
Attendees were briefed on DTI’s core programs, consumer protection services, SB Corp. financial assistance and consumer rights and responsibilities.
Local officials and residents expressed interest in working with DTI and the LGU to revive the barangay’s weaving heritage, a vital cultural and economic asset.
The event underscores DTI’s mission to build stronger, more resilient communities through accessible services, local partnerships and enterprise empowerment.
