The Department of Trade and Industry Iloilo brought its Advocacy Campaign Toward Strengthened Services to Brgy. Lampaya, giving residents direct access to business support and consumer protection programs.
The event, held at Jocsonville Resort, aimed to boost local entrepreneurship, promote consumer awareness, and open opportunities for farmers, traders, and small business owners.
Local leaders welcomed the initiative, with Barangay Captain Hon. Wellyn C. Chavez thanking DTI for bringing government services to their doorstep.
OIC–Provincial Director Ma. Dorita D. Chavez highlighted the agency’s commitment to empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises and fueling inclusive growth.
Acting Municipal Administrator Rachel N. Manero expressed the LGU’s support for more business initiatives in Calinog.
Presentations were delivered by Reno Palec of the Municipal Agriculture Office, Katherine Andrada of the Municipal Tourism Office, Charlene Joy A. Adeja of DTI’s IDD/BDU division, and Daisy Joy T. Darroca of the Negosyo Center, covering agriculture, tourism, industry opportunities, and MSME support.
Kurt Maurice S. Tugaff of DTI’s Consumer Protection Unit discussed consumer rights and responsibilities.
Schin T. Pamado, provincial coordinator of the Small Business Corporation, introduced financing programs for entrepreneurs.
The program concluded with Aniano Jocson, vice president of the Cacao Association, sharing how DTI’s assistance has advanced their cacao processing efforts.
Through the ACTSS caravan, DTI Iloilo continues to bring vital programs and services to the grassroots level in Calinog.
