In line with the National Heritage Month celebration, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo, through the Negosyo Center Miagao, supported the first “Surundon: Lagaw, Lantaw, Tiraw” event organized by the Municipality of Miagao.
The activity, held at the Justice Ramon B. Britanico Hall, showcased local arts, culture and gastronomy.
It brought together micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) assisted by the Negosyo Center.
Participants featured a range of homegrown products including Chemon’s Ongyod Coffee, De Paul Artisanal Salt, Rofelies Food Products, NACTI Vegetable Noodles and Chips, Cagbang Pottery and Sibucao Bamboo Sadok.
The event highlighted Miagao’s rich culinary traditions and craftsmanship.
It also served as a platform for MSMEs to promote their products, connect with the local community and generate income.
Through such initiatives, the local government and its partners aim to preserve heritage while supporting the livelihood of local entrepreneurs.
