The Negosyo Center Caravan ACTSS (Advocacy, Consultancy, Training, Shared Service Facilities) brought the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) programs, business consultancy, consumer advocacy, and networking opportunities to Barangay Alabidhan in Bingawan, Iloilo, equipping residents with tools and connections to grow local enterprises.
Punong Barangay John Arnel Ceballos welcomed the initiative with gratitude, thanking DTI Iloilo for choosing their community as a venue.
Bingawan Mayor Matt Palabrica underscored the vital role of small businesses in driving local economic growth, while OIC-Provincial Director Ma. Dorita Chavez reaffirmed DTI’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, protecting consumers, and fostering rural development.
Participants received business consultancy through presentations on DTI’s Industry and Business Development Programs by Lakambini T. Regalado, TIDS/BDD unit head of DTI Iloilo, with additional insights from Daisy Joy Darroca, SBCII of Negosyo Center Lambunao.
Consumer advocacy was tackled by Kurt Maurice S. Tugaff, TIDS, CPU of DTI Iloilo, who discussed consumer protection programs.
Financing opportunities under the Small Business Corporation’s P3 Program were presented by Schin T. Pamado, P3 provincial coordinator of SBC, enabling participants to explore accessible funding options.
The event also served as a networking platform, linking community members with government agencies, resource persons, and fellow entrepreneurs.
It concluded with an inspiring message from Marife Villanueva, owner of Heru Farm, who encouraged participants to seize available opportunities and turn their business aspirations into reality.
With its integrated focus on consultancy, advocacy, and networking, the Negosyo Center Caravan ACTSS in Barangay Alabidhan marked another milestone in strengthening the entrepreneurial and economic resilience of Bingawan and its people.
