ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two drunken men stabbed each other Saturday evening, May 2, in Barangay Malapad Cogon, Sigma, Capiz.
Police identified them as alias “Leony,” 46, a laborer from the village, and alias “Etok,” of legal age, of Barangay Parian, Sigma.
An investigation by the Sigma Municipal Police Station showed that the two were drinking at the house of alias “Noel” when Leony asked Etok to go home because he was already drunk.
As Etok was about to leave, he allegedly challenged and approached Leony.
Etok then allegedly took a knife and stabbed Leony, hitting him in the left stomach and right hand.
Despite his injuries, Leony managed to grab the knife and stab Etok in the right stomach.
Bystanders brought the two men to separate hospitals for treatment.
Police are eyeing misunderstanding as the motive behind the incident.
Investigation is ongoing.
