A young man was arrested after he allegedly killed his uncle early morning of Nov. 12 at Sara, Iloilo.
Police only identified the suspect as alias AJ, a resident of Sitio Buenavista, Barangay Alibayog, Sara.
According to police reports, the suspect went home drunk at around 6 a.m. on Sunday.
His uncle, 50-year-old Elmer Vivas, a tricycle driver, allegedly admonished him.
A heated argument ensued between the two that later led to a brawl.
At the height of their physical confrontation, the suspect grabbed a piece of metal tube and struck his uncle several times.
Most of the blows hit the victim on the right portion of his head causing him to fall to the ground.
Major Aldren Lamera, Sara police chief, said the incident was reported to them four hours later.
The victim was later brought to Sara District Hospital but was pronounced dead.
Lamera said the suspect did not attempt to flee and was arrested at their home.
