ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 33-year-old man who was believed to be drunk died from electrocution Monday evening at Barangay Monteflor in Pilar, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Deo Bacli of said place.
Investigation conducted by Police Corporal Jaypee Tomogda of Pilar Municipal Police Station indicated that the victim was found unconscious by his mother Melly Bacli, 68.
The victim went home around 11 pm and fixed the electrical wire outside their house.
It is believed that the victim was electrocuted as he peeled off the insulation of the electrical wire.
Bacli was taken to the nearest hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The body of the victim is presently at Saint Gabriel Funeral Homes.
The police said the victim was drunk when he fixed the live wire.
