Drug suspect arrested anew

ROXAS CITY Capiz – A 40-year-old man who was previously arrested and charged for illegal drug peddling, was arrested anew evening of Aug 13, 2019 for the same offense.

The Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Roxas City police station nabbed Hanzon Angon of Brgy. Banica here in a drug buy-bust operation at San Roque Street.

Recovered from Angon were 4 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, and a motorcycle allegedly used in the illegal drug transaction.

According to Police Master Sgt. Ramil Arcangeles, spokesperson of the Roxas City police station, it took three weeks of police surveillance before they conducted the drug bust against the suspect.

Angon was first arrested for drug peddling in 2015 but he was freed after a plea bargaining agreement.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 were filed against Angon who is now in the custody of the Roxas City police station.
