ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 39-year-old drug surrenderer returned to jail following his arrest Wednesday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation here.
A team from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Capiz Police Provincial Office led by Lt. Mark Anthony Garcia arrested Patricio Pelaez at his house in Arches Subdivision, San Roque St., Brgy. Inzo here.
Recovered from Pelaez were 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and P19,500 boodle or fake money, a weighing scale, a tooter, aluminum foil with suspected shabu residue, a sachet with shabu residue, a disposable lighter, a pencil case, and a yellow green pouch.
Garcia said the suspect was arrested months ago for the same offense but he was released through plea bargaining agreement.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against Pelaez who is detained at the Roxas City police station.
