ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 31-year-old drug surrenderer was arrested in a drug bust operation Thursday afternoon at Sitio Luyo in Brgy. Culasi here.
The operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Roxas City Police Station netted Emmanuel Antioquia of said barangay.
Recovered from Antioquia were 4 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and a cellphone.
Antioquia “yielded” to the police in 2017, but police claimed that he went back to the illegal drug trade recently.
Antioquia said the seized substance was “planted” on him.
Antioquia is presently detained at the Roxas City police and he will be charged for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
