ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A drug surrenderer was arrested anew by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) teams of Capiz and Aklan, and Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Cuartero police station Tuesday afternoon at Barangay Angub Cuartero, Capiz.
Police Major Christian Mohemetano, Cuartero police chief, identified the suspect as Van Jayson Palonpon, 30, of said barangay.
Recovered from Palonpon were 6 sachets of suspected shabu worth P63,000 and the P500 marked money.
Mohemetano said Palonpon was a former drug surrenderer and was the subject of police monitoring and surveillance following reports that he returned to selling drugs.
Police said several test buys were conducted against Palonpon, but he managed to detect that he was dealing with police officers.
The suspect is presently in the custody of Cuartero police station while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him.
