ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 51-year-old drug surrenderee was arrested Thursday evening in a drug buy-bust operation in Brgy. 7 here.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Roxas City Police Station collared Renely Albert Andrada at his house in Brgy. 7 here after handing over a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop.
Recovered from the suspect was a sachet of suspected shabu, P500 buy bust money and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect said that he went back to his illegal drug trade after his mother, a retired teacher, married another man.
The suspect was one of the drug surrenderees in their village during the Oplan Tokhang.
According to Police Lt. Col. Dante Tayco, Roxas City police chief, it took a week of monitoring and surveillance before the buy-bust was conducted.
Andrada is now detained at the Roxas City police station.
