BACOLOD City – Around 105 grams of suspected shabu worth P714,000 was seized in a buy-bust in Barangay 2 Poblacion, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Joint operatives of Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG)- Special Operations Unit (SOU)-6 and La Carlota City Police Station (LCCPS) arrested Romeo Tilar, 33, of the said village.
According to the police, Tilar is a sixth watch-listed drug personality of LCCPS. He is also said to be a high value individual.
Also seized from Tilar were the P1,000 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P11,000 boodle money.
Another person was also arrested in a drug bust in the city last Wednesday for the confiscation of P6,800 worth of suspected shabu.
Three other individuals were also arrested in the cities of Sagay, Talisay, and Escalante on October 21 and 24, respectively. It resulted in the seizure of P53,176 worth of the said contraband.
In Bacolod, P154,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in two separate drug bust operations in Barangay 40 and 2 on October 22 and 24, respectively.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental, PDEA- Special Intelligence Unit, and Police Station 2 dismantled an alleged drug den in Barangay 2 last Sunday.
The drug sting resulted in the arrest of five persons, including Jun Monido Occillo Jr., an alleged drug den maintainer, who was reported via ‘Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins’ hotline.
Recovered from them were 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, improvised tooters, disposable lighters, a cigarette case, pairs of scissors, and the marked money.
