Drs. Rollin and Daisy Tabuena of Iloilo Honored at Asia’s Influential Leader 2024

Dr. Ronel Ybanez presents the awards to Dr. Rollin Tabuena.
Iloilo’s esteemed medical couple, Dr. Rollin Tabuena and Ma. Daisy Tabuena, have been recognized as one of Asia’s Influential Leader Awardees for 2024. The celebration took place at Manila’s prestigious Okada Hotel, attended by diplomatic, political, business, entertainment, and social figures from across Asia. The Tabuenas, celebrated for paving new ways in leadership and enriching the cultural landscape, are truly an inspiration.
Dr. Ronel Ybanez, President of Asia’s Influential Leader Awards, said, “This citation of achievement, a celebration that echoes with the footsteps of trailblazers, an event that defines the pinnacle of Tabuena’s philanthropic leadership in the field of medicine in the community.”
The Tabuenas, known as the “Dancing Doctors of Iloilo,”—Dr. Rollin Palermo Tabuena, a pulmonary specialist, and his remarkable wife, Dr. Ma. Daisy Pedroso-Tabuena, an accomplished internist and neurologist—have championed promoting health through dance. At a time when many stayed home during the pandemic, they introduced a brilliant initiative to keep everyone engaged and healthy through Zumba. They have been instrumental in conducting these sessions in Iloilo.
“Simply to motivate everyone to pursue and sustain a healthy lifestyle, and to embed physical exercise into one’s daily regimen,” Dr. Rollin Tabuena expressed proudly in his acceptance speech.
Congratulations to the Doctors Tabuena! Cheers!
