A delivery truck driver was found dead early morning of April 12, 2021 inside a construction barracks in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
The victim, Peter Galea, 35, of Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City, had blood all over his body while his undergarments were already stripped down to his knees.
His genitals were also exposed when discovered around 6 a.m. Monday at Anaros Village in Barangay Calajunan.
Galea was in charge of the delivery of softdrinks. His employers own the house that is being constructed in the area.
Galea’s body was found inside the living quarters of the construction workers employed by his boss.
The victim, on the other hand, was staying at a makeshift hut, just beside the warehouse and near the workers’ barracks.
On Sunday night, the suspect even went binge drinking with the two construction workers identified as Salvador and Jesus.
He allegedly bought liquor at a store and claimed he had the two workers as his drinking buddies.
Major Jonathan Pinuela, Mandurriao police chief, said the victim suffered at least two stab injuries on his chest.
He claimed they now have persons of interest behind the incident.
But he did not elaborate further.
