Driver dies, son hurt in motorcycle crash
A 50-year-old driver died after his motorcycle crashed into a utility pole midnight of Oct 6, 2022 in San Joaquin, Iloilo. Fernando Nalagon, a resident of Bagumbayan, San Joaquin, was pronounced dead on arrival at San Joaquin Mother and Child Hospital. His 15-year-old son survived the incident despite suffering leg injuries.

A 50-year-old driver died after his motorcycle crashed into a utility pole midnight of Oct 6, 2022 in San Joaquin, Iloilo.
Fernando Nalagon, a resident of Bagumbayan, San Joaquin, was pronounced dead on arrival at San Joaquin Mother and Child Hospital.
His 15-year-old son survived the incident despite suffering leg injuries.
The two victims came from the San Joaquin town proper and were on their way home when the incident happened.
As they were navigating a curve along Purok 5 when Nalagon lost control of the vehicle. He swerved to the right shoulder of the road and bumped into the utility pole.
Inspector Dionisio Estacio, San Joaquin police chief, said Nalagon succumbed to jaw and neck injuries.
Investigation indicated that he was speeding and both were not wearing crash helmets.
Nalagon’s son claimed that his father was drunk when the incident happened. He allegedly asked his father to allow him to drive but the latter declined.
