In a glittering affair befitting the prestige of the Rotary Club International, Roxas City’s own Dr. Victor Federico “Pip” Acepcion was formally installed as District Governor of Rotary International District 3850 for Rotary Year 2025–2026.
The grand handover and induction ceremonies were held at the elegant Circulo Convention Center in Metro Roxas City, drawing Rotarians from across Western Visayas and Mindanao for an evening of camaraderie, celebration, and commitment to service.
The ceremonial turnover of the Rotary gavel was warmly received by Dr. Acepcion, a past president of the Rotary Club of Roxas City, from outgoing District Governor Richard T. Centino, met with a standing ovation from the distinguished guests and dignitaries in attendance.
Adding to the occasion’s distinction was the presence of Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero, who served as keynote speaker.
He was joined by Capiz 1st District Rep. Howard Guintu and Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, among other esteemed guests.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Acepcion pledged to lead with integrity and purpose, reinforcing the Rotary’s mission of service above self.
“As your new District Governor, I commit to advancing our shared vision of Rotary as a transformative force in our communities,” he declared.
“With unwavering dedication, we shall elevate our district’s impact and further our global legacy of humanitarian service.”
The evening was a stylish celebration of Rotary’s enduring values and future aspirations, graced by past district governors, club presidents, assistant governors, local leaders, and members of high society, all in support of District 3850’s new leadership.
A notable highlight was the presence of Dr. Acepcion’s family, including his daughter, debutante Theresa Antonia Acepcion, adding a heartwarming personal touch to the elegant evening.
The affair was also a reunion of Rotary Friendship Exchange alumni and longstanding members who shared in the governor’s vision of collective empowerment and global fellowship.
As the district embarks on another promising year, under the stewardship of DG Acepcion, the Rotarians of District 3850 are poised to soar to greater heights—guided by service, strengthened by unity, and inspired by hope.
