The Department of Public Works and Highways Iloilo 1st District Engineering Office has completed the construction of a new four-story building in Miagao, Iloilo, as an addition to the existing two-story town hall.
The PHP79.6 million project also includes an air-conditioned bay area, canopy, septic vault, cistern tank, partition walls, auxiliary system, automatic fire sprinkler system, fire pump, and water tanks with pump controls.
In a report from OIC-District Engineer Ethel B. Morales, Officer-in-Charge Director Joel F. Limpengco said the facility’s features were designed to comply with safety protocols and practical standards for daily operations.
“This additional building offers functional space that improves the working conditions of local government employees and the public’s experience during transactions,” Limpengco said.
He added that the project reflects progress in providing better facilities for municipal services.
The new facility is expected to benefit residents through more efficient processes and a more comfortable setting.
DPWH continues to implement projects across the province that promote local growth and improve the environment for government services. (DPWH-6)
