ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Capiz First Engineering District assured the city government of Roxas to finish the concreting of the road in Brgy. Libas here.
District Engineer Nonie Viyar of DPWH Capiz 1st District Engineering Office said he will compel the contractor to hasten the work as soon as possible.
He said bad weather hampered the project, thus the unfinished works.
Viyar assumed as district engineer only in August 2022 and the unfinished projects became his responsibilities.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said Viyar assured that he will give an update on other ongoing projects.
Dadivas said he received several complaints coming from residents of Libas and motorists and fish traders doing business inside the Libas Fishing Port regarding the inconvenience caused by the unfinished road project.
