A suspected drug pusher was arrested in an anti-narcotics operation in Malay, Aklan evening of Aug. 14, 2019.
Mar Prada, 49, was arrested near his house at Barangay Poblacion.
Joint operatives from the Malay Police Station, 2nd Aklan Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Philippine Drug Enforcement (PDEA)-Aklan conducted the operation around 9:00 p.m. of Wednesday.
The suspect sold a sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves, stem, and seeds worth P800 to a poseur buyer.
Police Major Jess Baylon, Malay police chief, said most of the suspect’s customers are from mainland Malay and they have yet to determine if he crossed to Boracay Island to sell drugs.
A case for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the suspect.
