Former boxing world champion Nonito Donaire is not giving up in getting back what’s his after setting up a bantamweight clash with current title-holder Nordine Oubaali in December.
The four-division world champion is fresh from a loss to Japanese star Naoya Inoue in a match that lasted for 12 grueling rounds and tagged to be one of the best fights in boxing history.
However, Donaire will be facing a different beast in Oubaali, although the Japanese monster was a more explosive fighter, the champ from French fights a more technical style.
Holding a record of 17-0 with 12 knockouts, Oubaali is still the man to beat after successfully defending his belt multiple times through the years.
Despite holding a more decorated record of 40-6 with 26 knockouts, Donaire is still the underdog coming in older than the French champion by four years.
The fight is slated on Saturday, December 12 (Sunday, December 13, Philippine time) and will take place at Mohegun Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.
