ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Capiz will investigate the collapsed scaffolding of the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) in Brgy Lanot which injured three construction workers.
DOLE-Capiz will summon on Monday the contractor of the project, Silver Dragon Construction based in Bacolod City, and the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Last Monday morning, three construction workers identified as Rodolfo Aguas of Sitio Pili Brgy Dinginan; and Jun Guzman of Barangay Milibili, both here, and Ryan Jay Orola of Poblacion Tabuc Sur Panit-an town, were hurt after the scaffolding buckled.
According to the security guard assigned in the area, the workers were on the 5th floor of the building when the scaffolding suddenly gave way.
The three were brought to the hospitals for treatment.
It was learned that the workers had no protective gear and the improvised bamboo used as scaffolding was already dilapidated.
