The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office VI, along with its field offices, has maintained its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification following a reassessment audit conducted from March 3 to 13, 2026, reinforcing the agency’s push for quality and consistency in public service delivery.
DOLE Regional Office VI said the result reflects its continued commitment to high standards in implementing programs and services across the regional office and its field offices in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras and Iloilo.
The office said the outcome also affirmed the effectiveness, consistency and relevance of its management system under ISO 9001:2015 standards, a globally recognized framework for quality management.
The reassessment was led by Auditor Janet N. Safranca of Certification International Philippines, Inc., who reviewed management processes, operational performance and service delivery mechanisms for compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
The audit generated positive findings, with the quality management system described as well demonstrated through the office’s commitment, while personnel showed a high level of awareness and understanding of established processes.
Assistant Regional Director and QMS Chairperson Melisa S. Navarra led the audit activities with the participation of DOLE RO VI top management, QMS committees, program focal persons and process owners.
The combined efforts of the regional office personnel supported the presentation of processes, documentation and quality management practices during the audit.
Regional Director Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez Jr. expressed appreciation for the dedication and teamwork shown by personnel, saying the achievement reflected the office’s unified commitment to quality service and continuous improvement.
The audit ended with no major nonconformities, a result that confirmed the office’s full compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
For a labor agency that oversees frontline programs and services in Western Visayas, maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification serves as an external check on whether internal systems remain consistent, documented and responsive to client needs.
DOLE RO VI said the successful recertification underscores its continuing pursuit of excellence and its commitment to delivering efficient, transparent and reliable services to the people of Western Visayas.
