SAPIAN, Capiz – A 39-year-old motorist who was arrested for alleged disobedience tested positive for illegal drug use Monday morning, October 23.
Rod (not his real name) failed the drug test conducted by the Capiz PNP Crime Laboratory here.
The Sapian Municipal Police Station led by Lieutenant Merry Chris Dela Cruz nabbed Rod of New Road, Banica, Roxas City, at about 6:30 pm of October 21, 2023 at Sitio Tagudtud, Brgy Dapdapan of said town.
The arrest rooted from an initial violation for reckless driving and disobedience to person in authorities which later led to Rod’s arrest.
Recovered from Rod after his apprehension were the following: a heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing crystalline substance of suspected shabu, four pieces of small empty plastic sachet, 28 pieces of crumpled aluminum foil, two improvised lighters, a roll of aluminum foil, a lighter, a blue backpack, and a Suzuki Raider motorcycle.
Dela Cruz said Rod was observed to acting strangely he was happily talking while pointing his finger to the sky.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against him aside from disobedience to authorities case.
