In another episode of the Guimaras Players’ Center Sports Academy organized and headed by WVSU Sports Director Dr. Richard Gabayoyo, three of Guimaras’ best motocross riders graced and shared their ups and downs in their respective careers.
Macmac “Sweetest Rider” Desbaro, Tabar “Wonder Boy” Davis, and Janice “Guimaras Pride” Galacgac had a fun time goofing with each other and reminiscing about their struggles in the sport.
From teenagers who just wanted to display how fast they could drive and drift with their motorcycles, the three Guimarasnon sports gems remembered how their determination transformed a hobby into a dream.
During their Zoom interview, the three uniformly said that to be like them, you need to have the courage to do what you want to do and have to be determined through the process.
“Para mag dugay ka di kag para makuha mo ang gusto mo, dapat halin sa una asta sa katapusan determinado ka kag dapat maisog ikaw, kay ang ginsudlan namon may risgo man ini kay delikado,” said Galacgac.
For both Desbaro and Davis, the duo bared that their love for bikes started from the desire to best each other with their speed on the road.
In time, their love for motorcycles also became the reason why they chose to engage in motocross.
“Sang una, nanamian gd kami mag hinaras-haras sa dalan, mag tripping, pero sang nag mature kami kag sang nag plan na kami mag intra sa motocross, amo man ni ang gin gamit namon nga rason para maghalong. Buot silingon, ang amon pagkaharas-haras, binutang na namon sa lugar kag so far, so good,” Desbaro and Davis said.
As of now, the three are currently preparing themselves for upcoming motocross competitions.
