ROXAS CITY, CAPIZ – Three persons in the province of Capiz succumbed to dengue from January to June 2023.
Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) said two of the fatalities are from Panay and one in Mambusao.
Tapaz town has the highest number of dengue cases with 74 followed by Roxas City with 53.
The PHO recorded 286 dengue cases in the said period with the 10 to 19 years old age group accounting for most of the cases.
The youngest was a two-month-old boy while the oldest was 93.
Meanwhile, the PHO said clustering of cases was observed in barangays Agbanban, Tanza Norte, Tanza Sur, Poblacion Ilaya, Cogon and Lumboy in Panay, and Switch in Tapaz.
Panay town accounts for the most number of cases since January.
