ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Dengue cases in the province of Capiz is nearing the 5,000 mark.
Based on a report of the Capiz Epidemiological Surveillance and Response Unit (CESRU) of the Provincial Health Office, dengue cases totaled 4,930 from January to August 2019.
Leading the list is Roxas City with 1,003 cases; Dao with 446; Pontevedra, 376; Tapaz, 344; Panay, 325; Pres. Roxas, 298; Ivisan, 292; Mambusao, 244; Sigma, 240; Panit-an, 227; Maayon, 191; Dumalag, 190; Jamindan, 184; Sapian, 161; Dumarao,153; and Cuartero and Pilar with 128 cases each.
Governor Esteban Evan “Nonoy” Contreras earlier signed Executive Order No. 001 which declared a dengue outbreak in the province.
