It was an evening of sparkle, style and seaside splendor as Cebu-based Ilongga jeweler and Philippine Style Icon awardee Darlene Ardena-Go celebrated her 60th birthday with a fabulous Latin festival-themed dinner-dance soirée at the chic beachfront BE Resort Mactan.
The queen of the hour gathered family and friends for a celebration that was every bit as vibrant and glamorous as she is, with the resort’s idyllic setting providing the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable milestone.
Guests, dressed in festive summer florals and Latin-inspired ensembles, were welcomed at the alfresco bar with refreshing cocktails, overflowing bar chows and breezy conversation as the late-afternoon sun cast a golden glow over the gathering.
Fronting a spectacular view of white sand and brilliant blue waters, the venue exuded a relaxed Riviera charm, evoking the effortless elegance of the Côte d’Azur.
As twilight descended, fireworks burst across the sky, adding a dramatic and dazzling flourish to an already enchanting affair.
The celebration then shifted to the resort ballroom, which had been transformed into a lively Latin festival fantasy with colorful décor, festive details and an atmosphere brimming with energy.
One of the evening’s most delightful highlights was the electrifying performance by Latin dancers, who set the ballroom ablaze with rhythm and flair.
Joining in the revelry was the celebrant herself, who looked radiant in a shimmering blue-and-silver creation by designer Enan Almanado.
By her side throughout the special evening was her ever-supportive husband, Freddy Go, along with their daughter, Dericka Go-Pabion, son-in-law Al Pabion and adorable grandson Alaric.
Later in the evening, the family circle was made complete with the arrival of the couple’s son, Fred Dominic.
A DJ kept the tempo high with retro Latin beats that lured guests to the dance floor and kept the party mood alive well into the night.
Adding to the excitement was a raffle featuring luxurious prizes, a fitting touch to a soirée that beautifully blended tropical charm, family warmth and high-style celebration.
Indeed, Darlene Ardena-Go’s 60th birthday was a celebration worthy of the queen of the hour — elegant, exuberant and absolutely unforgettable.
