Daily Guardian won the Best Editorial Page (Daily Category) in the 2025 Community Press Awards of the Philippine Press Institute (PPI) on June 4 at Hotel Lucky Chinatown in Manila.
The award recognizes the paper’s editorial page for its thoughtfulness, clarity, accuracy, and impact in commentary that advances the public interest.
Reporter Rjay Zuriaga Castor received the award, joined by Editor-in-Chief Francis Allan L. Angelo during the awarding ceremony, held alongside the PPI Annual Membership Meeting and National Press Forum.
This marks the first time Daily Guardian has secured the Best Editorial Page award, adding to its previous recognitions, including Best in Business and Economic Reporting, Best in Reporting on Migration Issues, and Outstanding Community Newspaper for Stories on Health Innovation and Collaboration.
