Daily Guardian was hailed as Outstanding Community Newspaper for Stories on Health Innovation and Collaboration (Daily category) during the 60th anniversary celebration of the Philippine Press Institute (PPI) at Century Park Hotel in Manila, April 25.
The award, bestowed by the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP), recognized Daily Guardian on its reportage that informs and empowers communities about crucial developments in healthcare, ultimately contributing to the improvement of public health outcomes.
“PHAP wish that the award will further inspire you to write stories that help promote people’s help through innovation and collaboration. There is so much work to do but so much that has already been done,” said Dr. Diana Edralin, PHAP President.
Daily Guardian is also among the finalists for Best in Photojournalism and Best News Website in the 2023 Community Press Awards of the PPI, a testament to its multifaceted approach to storytelling, leveraging both written and visual mediums to convey impactful narratives.
Novartis Philippines has also acknowledged Daily Guardian’s contribution in raising awareness on breast cancer through the “The first Think Pink Awards” on April 24.
