BACOLOD City – A man and his son were injured after they were stabbed by their customer at Escalante Shopping Center in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental last Friday.
Police identified the victims as Teody Flor, 69, and his son Teddy Flor, 42, both residents of the said village.
Investigation showed that the suspect identified as 43-year-old Cerello Requiron of Barangay Hacienda Fe, had a drink at the victims’ eatery that afternoon.
However, after consuming three bottles of beer, he immediately left without paying the bill.
Teddy approached Requiron, but the suspect became angry, then drew a knife from his waist and allegedly stabbed the former.
Teddy’s father went to the scene to check what happened, but he was also reportedly stabbed by the suspect.
The two victims sustained wounds on the different parts of their bodies and were brought to Vicente Gustilo District Hospital.
The suspect was arrested and the weapon used in the crime was recovered.
