Flooding affected more than 31,000 residents across 18 local government units in Negros Occidental.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) continues to monitor a low-pressure area (LPA) spotted east of Eastern Visayas.
While it is not currently affecting any part of the country, the LPA has a “medium” chance of developing into a tropical depression within 24 hours.
If it does develop, it will be named “Dante,” making it the third tropical cyclone to hit the Philippines in July.
