ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Capiz province now has 914 coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.
Based on the status update issued by the Capiz Provincial Health Office (CPHO), 5 new cases were added on Thursday – two in Dumarao and one each in Roxas City, Mambusao, and Panitan towns.
24 new recoveries were also reported, bringing the total to 768.
Another fatality was added to the tally, bringing the total deaths to 46.
As to the categories of the affected individuals, 227 were suspected cases, 140 Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI), 44 Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs), 412 High Risk Contacts and 91 others.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old female and resident of Brgy. Concencia, Panitan, Capiz was the 30th person to be infected in Panitan town.
The woman has travel history from Las Piñas City and is presently under 14-day quarantine at the Barangay Isolation Facility.
The woman underwent swab testing on Nov 3 and yielded a positive result two days after.
She was symptomatic and was isolated in the provincial facility in Capiz Gymnasium.
Panitan has 30 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 27 recoveries and 3 active cases.
