The Provincial Government of Guimaras further relaxed travel protocols implemented in the province to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Governor Samuel T. Gumarin issued Executive Order No. 28 on May 16, 2022 as the province of Guimaras and other provinces in Western Visayas remain under Alert Level 1.
In a press statement, the new protocol dictates that returning residents as well as residents of Western Visayas are not required anymore to present a COVID-19 vaccination card upon entry to Guimaras.
However, they must fill out Health Declaration Forms and the Minimum Health Standards must be strictly observed.
The implementation of Inbound Pass and Outbound Resident Pass is likewise suspended.
Individuals with symptoms referable to COVID-19, considered suspect/probable/confirmed case of COVID-19 shall not be allowed entry into the province.
Unvaccinated non-residents coming from outside Region 6 are prohibited to enter the province of Guimaras unless he/she could presents a negative RT-PCR test result.
The Province of Guimaras has not registered new cases of COVID-19 from May 5-18, 2022.
