ROXAS CITY, Capiz — One of the two patients tested in the rapid diagnostic test died while being treated at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) Tuesday morning, according to Dr. Alex Nolasco, Hospital Management Section Head of the Capiz provincial government.
Nolasco said the patient died from Acute Myocardial Infarction.
The patient was considered a suspected COVID-19 case but his RT-PCR test result was yet to be released when he died.
The fatality’s wife was also admitted to a hospital after showing symptoms of COVID-19.
Local health officials are now conducting contact tracing.
