IT ‘S been almost six months since the global battle against the novel coronavirus erupted. The world virtually stopped.
How can we ever survive these changes in our lifestyle?
I asked prominent Ilonggos, jet setters, and business leaders “How do you see the world amid this global health crisis?
Here are their views and concerns. God Bless everyone and keep safe.

“It’s really fun to travel! When pandemic hit us, I saw the world as dull and gray. But in every situation, we must focus on what matters most. Family, they are everything to me. A kiss and a hug from them make me very happy. Be grateful. In a post-pandemic world we have a chance to be better. Time to care for each other. Historically, fortunes and great opportunities are made in this interesting time. Work from home is another challenge but with flexibility we can rebuild our economy and society in God’s hand.” – Sheilla Golez-Tiongco, Vice President of NAPOLEON Corp

“As of now, all our future trips are halted, As COVID-19 spreads around the world to devastating effect. With what is happening now, around the world that caused economic downfall causing most businesses to go bankrupt, a struggling survival is evident all over. There will be a lot of changes in technology, poverty upheaval and even mortality. But with outmost gesture of the government with medical frontliners risking their lives to take care of the sick and proper health, wise decorum to fight this pandemic. In God’s providence, with our resilience and prayers a snapshot of how much can be done when hearts of common purpose will solve this global crisis in the right place.” – Putli Fuerte, Vice President United Medical Systems Corp

“Businesses nowadays have been challenged dramatically because of this unprecedented global pandemic. We have to adapt to new methods to cope with the new normal and the virtual platform is one direction we should now adopt. As a businesswoman, diversity through sustainability should be my priority and to continue pursuing my passions to create imaginations and put them in tangible applications to help not just my business but the workforce that has been the backbone of our means of resources. With outmost prayers to our dear Lord, Health is wealth in the world nowadays.” – Jeweler Darlene Ardena-Go

“As a businesswoman who loves to travel, I will take time to stay home and smell the roses during this pandemic year. Our life, rich or poor, is uncertain, and we could not fight well, with our enemy we could not see. So, we will be happy to travel around the world and see the wonders of nature at the comfort of our home for now. We have already cancelled our scheduled trip to Australia last December and our summer tour to Europe. I am just as happy staying home and alive. To God be the Honor and Glory! All the best!” – Prima Sweeney, School Directress of Santa Clarita International School

“In the eyes of this traumatic pandemic of Covit-19 that caught the world by hapless defense it is clear that our current level of knowledge. Humanity still have a long way to go in the marathon to eradicate this health devastating phenomenon in terms of medical technology as well as the progress we have made so far in fighting the virus is extremely fragile. We on the verge of which would be a dangerous thing to do. This pandemic virus leaves no room for error or complacency, we need to do our share to remain committed to observe wearing masks, proper health sanitation and social distancing and of course be vigilant across our Country and to the world. God bless everyone.” – Angel Alan Celino
