COVID-19 death toll in Capiz rises to 92

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The number of persons who died from COVID-19 in Capiz province is nearing the century mark.
Latest data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported 92 deaths in the province since the pandemic broke out last year.
Roxas City topped the number of deaths with 51, followed by the towns of Pontevedra (10), Pilar (5), Ivisan and Sigma (4 each), Dao, Dumarao, Maayon, Mambusao, Panay, and President Roxas (2 each), and Cuartero, Dumalag, Jamindan, Panitan, Sapian, and Tapaz (1 each).
The province now has 2,071 cases including 1,671 recoveries and 308 active cases.
Meanwhile, 37 more persons were infected with COVID-19 on May 13, 2021.
Roxas City has 16 new cases followed by Mambusao (9), Pilar (3), and one each in Maayon, President Roxas, Panitan, Jamindan, Pontevedra, Sapian, Ivisan, Tapaz and Dao.
